Our Fees and Payment Policies

We believe in transparency regarding the financial aspects of therapy. This page outlines our session fees, accepted payment methods, and other important payment-related policies at [Your Practice Name].
Standard Session Fees
- Our standard fee for a 50-minute therapy session is $150.
- This rate applies to all types of sessions: individual, couples, and family therapy.
Payment Due
- Payment is due at the time of service for each session.
- We utilize our secure, HIPAA-compliant client portal, SimplePractice, for all billing and payment processing. You will be asked to put a credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card on file in the portal when you become a client. This card will be charged automatically after each session unless other arrangements are made in advance.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following forms of payment through our secure client portal:
- Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.
- Debit Cards: Most debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo.
- Health Savings Account (HSA) Cards: Accepted if your HSA card can be used as a credit card (e.g., has a Visa/Mastercard logo).
- Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Cards: Accepted if your FSA card can be used as a credit card (e.g., has a Visa/Mastercard logo).
Using a Card Not in Your Name?
If you plan to use a credit, debit, HSA, or FSA card that belongs to a family member or another individual, we require a signed Credit Card Authorization Form from the cardholder authorizing its use for your therapy sessions. Please discuss this with us prior to your first payment.
Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits
Tretbar Therapy LLC is considered out-of-network providers for all insurance plans. This means we do not bill insurance companies directly, and we are not in-network with any insurance panels.
- Superbills for Reimbursement: Upon request, we are happy to provide you with a "superbill" (a detailed receipt of services) at the end of each month or as needed. You can submit this superbill to your insurance company to seek potential reimbursement if your plan offers out-of-network mental health benefits.
- Understanding Your Benefits: It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company directly to understand your out-of-network benefits, including deductibles, co-insurance, and reimbursement rates for psychotherapy services (common CPT codes are 90834 for individual therapy, 90847 for family/couples therapy).

Cancellation Policy & Fees
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. However, we require at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- Late Cancellations/No-Shows: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be responsible for the full session fee of $150.
- This fee will be charged to the card on file.
- This policy allows us to manage our schedule effectively and offer appointments to other clients who may be waiting.
Billing History & Receipts
All your billing statements, payment history, and receipts are securely maintained and accessible to you at any time through your SimplePractice Client Portal.
