- What are your fees?
- Our standard fee is $150 for a 50-minute session. This rate applies to all sessions, whether individual, couple, or family therapy.
- Do you accept insurance?
- We do not accept insurance directly. However, some insurance companies offer out-of-network benefits and we can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
- What payment methods do you accept?
- We accept payment via credit or debit card. If you're using a family member's card, a consent agreement from the cardholder is required.
- Do you accept HSA/FSA?
- Yes, we accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) cards, provided they can be used as a credit card. Please ensure your HSA/FSA card has a Visa or similar logo to facilitate payment.
- Do you work with children?
- Yes, we work with children aged 6 and older. Our practice is focused on providing effective support for children, teens, and their families.
- Do all sessions take place in the office?
- No, we offer both in-office and telehealth sessions, allowing you to choose the format that best suits your needs.
- What is the difference between an MFT, a psychologist, and a counselor?
- Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) specialize in relationships and family dynamics. Psychologists often focus on psychological testing and research, while counselors may offer a broader range of general mental health support.
- How long does therapy take?
- The duration of therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Many clients begin to see improvements after a few months, but treatment plans are tailored to each individual.
- Can you diagnose mental health disorders?
- Yes, MFTs are qualified to diagnose mental health disorders and provide treatment tailored to your specific needs.
- What is the Client Portal?
- The Client Portal, powered by SimplePractice, allows you to schedule appointments, manage paperwork, and even attend telehealth sessions or send messages securely.
- Are you licensed in the State of Missouri?
- We are licensed in the State of Kansas and not Missouri. However, you are welcome to visit us at our office. Please note that telehealth services are only available in states where we are licensed.
- Do you consult with schools or other educational institutions?
- Yes, we are available to collaborate with schools and other educational institutions to support your child's well-being and academic success.
