  • Experiencing psychosis (e.g., hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thinking) that makes it difficult to function safely.
  • Extreme distress, agitation, or inability to care for oneself.
  • Overwhelming panic attacks.

Our Practice's Role in a Crisis

While we are dedicated to supporting your mental health during scheduled sessions, our practice is not equipped to provide 24/7 emergency or crisis response services.

  • During Business Hours: If you are an existing client and experience a non-life-threatening urgent situation, you can contact our office at (913) 393-9393 or message us through the Client Portal. We will do our best to respond as promptly as possible during our operating hours.
  • After Hours & Emergencies: If you are experiencing a crisis outside of our business hours, or if it is a life-threatening emergency at any time, please utilize the immediate crisis resources listed above (911, 988 Lifeline, Crisis Text Line, or local CMHC hotline).
  • Informing Your Therapist: If you have utilized emergency services or a crisis hotline, please inform your therapist at your next scheduled appointment or by leaving a non-urgent message so they can provide appropriate follow-up support.

Safety Planning

If you have ongoing concerns about safety or suicidal thoughts, please discuss this openly with your therapist. We can work with you to develop a personalized safety plan, which is a set of strategies and resources to help you cope and stay safe during times of intense distress.

Your safety is our priority. Please do not hesitate to use these resources if you need immediate support. Remember, you are not alone, and help is available.
